Looking Forward

After about 20-odd years of education along with tons of experience, you brace yourself for another 20-odd year for your career. Your entire life is full of learning. You learn valuable lessons, not just in school but at the home, on the playground, at a party, practically everywhere.

All these lessons, from childhood to adulthood, prepare you to face the world independently. You must have heard people saying “you are an adult, you are mature enough to take your decisions”. Decisions here does not mean choosing which iPhone model is better XR or XS. What it means is being decisive of your present actions, while keeping your past experience in mind, for better future reactions.

With this decisive attitude, you are also expected to be bold. Take bold decisions. Of course, there will be risks involved. But you will not have any regrets if you try and fail rather than give up without trying. Now if you choose to do the former then you have to keep one thing in mind. Give it your best shot. A half-hearted effort is as bad as giving up before trying. Putting in your best efforts will mean you have kept no room for error and you have worked with the best of your ability. If you do that, then trust me, it will pay off.

I limited myself to certain choices, failing to realize that I will see the sunrise if I expanded my horizon to unlimited opportunities. But once I grabbed one of the opportunities I was introduced to a brand new experience that I never expected would come my way.

At first, I had doubts and I wasn’t bold enough. But after a productive thought-assessment session, looking at the picture from a broader perspective and all the chores of being adult, my mind was clear. I took my first step in the new world. Having a confident attitude I now consider myself ready to face whatever life brings my way.

Whenever you are stuck the way I was, and can’t decide what to choose, be bold and take chance. If you win then great if you don’t, try again.
